Heather is Director of Industry Development at Penington Institute, a Registered Nurse with postgraduate qualifications in Addiction Studies, Organisational Management and has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.

Over the past thirty years, Heather has worked in leadership positions in drug treatment, managing withdrawal services at Monash Health, establishing the Hospital Liaison Team in Acute Services (now known as Addiction Medicine and oversaw the formation of the Primary Health Care Clinic network focused on addressing drug harm.

Heather established the Nurses and Midwives Health Program Victoria in 2006 as was the inaugural CEO, moving on to become a Board Director. In 2009, Heather led the Self-Help Addiction Resource Centre as the CEO for 15 years, moving on to establish and become the inaugural CEO of National Nurse and Midwife Health Service.

Heather brings to her position a strong passion for workforce health and wellbeing, community collaboration and partnership, striving towards person-centred, quality health care for all Victorians.
