Susan Wardle

Susan is an experienced non-executive director and health leader with a career spanning the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, complemented by experience in the education and technology fields. She most recently served as Executive Director of Strategy and Partnerships at Western Health, leading areas including strategic and business planning, corporate governance, enterprise risk, service planning, data analytics and performance, and major service and infrastructure projects. 

Her strengths in partnerships, marketing and advocacy have driven sustained growth in reputation, funding and service reach for health organisations, including expansion into new regions and growth in both consumer and workforce engagement. Earlier executive roles include Executive General Manager, Partnerships at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and Executive Director of Strategy, Marketing and Business Development at Epworth HealthCare.

Susan currently serves on the Board of Bendigo Art Gallery and was previously a co-opted member of Ballarat Community Health's Board Corporate Governance Committee. She has also held Board roles with HomeGround Services and Open Family Australia supporting people and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Susan is passionate about strengthening health systems, improving consumer access to quality care, and harnessing technology to deliver better outcomes.
