Post-graduate Program - Mental Health

Following completion of the Graduate Nurse Program – Mental Health, you may apply for a post-graduate position within GMHWS.

It is a requirement of most tertiary institutions who deliver post-graduate studies in Mental Health Nursing that applicants have employment for the duration of their study. The Post-graduate Year offers two 6-month rotations to a select bed-based area and a Community Mental Health Team on a part-time basis (4 days a week).

Graduate and post-graduate nurses who have successfully completed the program will be offered ongoing employment at the end of their fixed term contract where an appropriately classified vacancy exists.
