Work Experience and Structured Workplace Learning

Grampians Health is committed to providing local students the opportunity to discover careers in healthcare. Our programs provide hands-on experience and exposure of clinical and non-clinical roles.

About the program

We offer Work Experience and Structured Workplace Learning programs in both clinical and non-clinical settings. 

Work Experience 

Offered four times per year (one week per school term), students will rotate through various healthcare roles across our campuses and receive support throughout the process.

Intakes dates are dependent on campus and availability.

Structured Workplace Learning  

Grampians Health also accepts Structured Workplace Learning students. These students will undertake positions in line with their Senior School and VET Certificate training. 

How to apply

Work Experience 

To apply for our Work Experience program: 

  • Search for Grampians Health via the Statewide Portal  
  • Select the opportunity you are interested in 
  • Complete the relevant Microsoft Application Form 

The Local Learning and Employment Network (LLEN) will then review your application. If successful, you’ll be contacted for an interview.  

Important Information

  • We do not offer tailored placements (you cannot choose specific departments or roles).
  • Ballarat applicants: You must apply via the Local Learning and Employment Network (LLEN). Please do so via following this link.
  • All other locations: Apply via the Statewide Portal.
  • Direct applications are not accepted. All applications must go through the Statewide Portal.
