Grampians Health welcomes Patty Kinnersly as Board Chair
Grampians Health is pleased to announce the Victorian Government’s appointment of Patty Kinnersly as Chair of its Board of Directors.
Previously the Chief Executive Officer for Women’s Health Grampians, and current CEO of Our Watch, Ms Kinnersly brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her new role.
Grampians Health Chief Executive Officer, Dale Fraser, welcomed the appointment of Ms Kinnersly.
“We are thrilled to have Patty join the Grampians Health community,” Mr Fraser said. “Patty is well known to our health service and the broader region, having previously served on the Boards of both Rural Northwest Health and Ballarat Health Services.
“Through these roles, Patty has developed a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing regional health services and has made a significant contribution to the sector.
“Her commitment to community wellbeing, combined with a strong understanding of health, social, and public sector issues, will be a tremendous asset to Grampians Health as we continue to deliver on our strategic priorities and strengthen outcomes for our communities.”
Ms Kinnersly, who lives in the Grampians region, is currently CEO of Our Watch, Australia’s leader in the primary prevention of violence against women, which works in partnership with governments, workplaces and communities to address the drivers of gender-based violence.
She served as CEO for Women’s Health Grampians for nine years, and brings extensive experience in leadership, strategy, and organisational development to her new role as Chair of Grampians Health.
"It is a great privilege to now lead the Board of Grampians Health and contribute to an organisation that plays such a vital role in the health and wellbeing of regional and rural communities," Ms Kinnersly said.
“I look forward to working with my fellow Board members, the executive team, staff and community partners to continue the delivery of outstanding care and to improve health outcomes for local communities."
