After serving as Deputy Manager for the past 15 years, stepping into the Practice Manager role at Alan Wolff Medical Centre felt like a natural progression for Terri Parry.

Terri recently accepted the position following the retirement of Heather Parker, who had managed the clinic since its inception. Having worked alongside Heather throughout that time, Terri said she had been fortunate to learn from an exceptional mentor and leader.

"I've always enjoyed working alongside Heather,” Terri said.

“She has been an incredible role model and mentor. We worked very well together and she will certainly be missed.

“Over the years I've gained valuable management experience, which has given me the confidence to step into the role permanently," she said.

Terri is now looking forward to working alongside Jacqui Hill who has taken on the Deputy Manager position.

"Creating a positive workplace culture is important to me,” Terri said.

“We have a fantastic team and I want people to enjoy coming to work each day. Jacqui and I have worked together for many years and I'm confident we'll continue building on the supportive environment that's always been part of this practice."

Alan Wolff Medical Centre, which also incorporates Read Street Medical Clinic, provides a broad range of healthcare services to the Wimmera community, including bulk-billing GP services, specialist consulting services, registrar training, and visiting specialists.

Terri said the practice continued to evolve and expand in response to the healthcare needs of the region.

"We're committed to ensuring local people can access quality healthcare close to home,” she said.

"We're fortunate to have the support of an outstanding team of doctors, specialists and staff and we're continuing to expand the services available through partnerships with Grampians Health and visiting specialists.

"As an outpatient clinic, the practice is also helping more patients access specialist care locally, reducing the need for frequent trips to Ballarat and allowing people to receive care closer to their families and support networks.

"At the end of the day, it's about providing the best possible care for our community.  It's a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team delivering that care every day and that's something of which I'm very proud to play a part."

Grampians Health Chief Operating Officer Ben Kelly congratulated Terri and Jacqui on their promotions and on the achievements of the medical centre.

“We will support Terri and Jacqui and their team to continue strengthening the services at the medical centre so we can keep providing greater local access to care,” Mr Kelly said.
