Breastfeeding
Our breastfeeding service provides specialised support and information to parents on all aspects of breastfeeding and infant feeding.
Who we care for
We support those experiencing breastfeeding difficulties or who just want reassurance and advice about breastfeeding or infant feeding. We can assist babies of any age, and regardless of where they were born. Support is available to you as an outpatient, or if you or your baby are already in any of our hospital areas.
What you can expect
The service is staffed by International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs), who are qualified to provide specialist advice, support, and counselling.
Our Lactation Consultants can see you in person, speak with you on the phone, or do a Telehealth Consultation. Support and advice are available for issues during pregnancy and after your baby is born.
We hold monthly breastfeeding information sessions for pregnant women, their partners, and other support people such as grandparents. We also have online breastfeeding and infant feeding information available.
