Lymphoedema
If you've had surgery to remove lymph nodes in your armpit or groin, and/or radiotherapy in the same area, you may be at risk of developing lymphoedema.
Lymphoedema can occur after lymph nodes are removed by surgery or damaged by radiotherapy. This can stop the lymph fluid from flowing freely through the lymphatic system, causing fluid to build up in some parts of the body.
