Grampians Early Parenting Centre

The Grampians Early Parenting Centre is a free Monday to Friday service, providing specialist support for families with children aged 0-4 years of age. 

Our service is designed to provide day-stay programs and overnight programs to improve the health, wellbeing and developmental outcomes for children. In a welcoming environment with natural light, outdoor spaces and rooms suitable for various family arrangements to help allow families to feel at home.

Who we care for

We assist parents from across the Grampians region with young children who need specialised or targeted support. This may include: 

  • strengthening parenting capacity and skills
  • enhancing the parent-child relationship
  • increasing parental confidence in responding to their infant/toddlers needs 
  • support parents with strategies for achieving their parenting goals

What you can expect

We deliver flexible, targeted services that assist parents with a range of common issues including: 

  • sleep and settling 
  • introducing solids 
  • infant and child behaviours  
  • parent and child health and wellbeing 
  • adjustment to parenthood. 
  • information to understand your child’s needs 

We also offer one-on-one appointments, video appointments, and group sessions.

Out of hours support

For out of hours support please call the national 24-hour Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Line.
You can speak to a maternal and child health nurse at any time by calling the MCH Line on 13 22 29. This free service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is private and confidential, and provides support for parents of children from birth to school age.

Referrals and access

Once a referral is received, you will be contacted in 2-3 business days and be given an appointment for an assessment phone call.
