Eating Disorder Multidisciplinary Clinic

The Eating Disorder Multidisciplinary Clinic offers a coordinated, collaborative approach to treating people who need support with an eating disorder.

Who we care for

We care for people of all ages living in the Grampians region who need support with eating disorders. We also support those who care for a loved one with an eating disorder.

What you can expect

We provide the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatments for people with an eating disorder, with a focus on early intervention.

The clinic works in partnership with Eating Disorders Victoria (EDV). EDV offers telehealth counselling and face-to-face groups for carer support.

Our aim is to reduce isolation, enhance overall health and wellbeing, and improve connections between carers and their local community.

The team includes doctors, dietitians, a psychologist, psychiatrists, and nurses.

Referrals and access

A GP referral is required for either the:

  • Adult Eating Disorder Clinic (for those aged 18 and over), or
  • the Paediatric Eating Disorder Clinic (for those under 18).

Referrals should be submitted by your GP to the Ballarat Speciality Outpatient Clinic (see ‘For Health Professionals’ information).
