Public Fertility Care Services
We offer access to comprehensive, world-class fertility treatment through Public Fertility Care. This includes genetic counselling, fertility preservation, fertility assessment, and treatment.
Who we care for
This free services is available to individuals and couples of all genders who:
- have been trying to conceive naturally but have been unsuccessful, and/or
- whose situation or health may prevent or impair fertility or safe conception, and
- meet the relevant criteria
What you can expect
This service is provided through the Royal Women's Hospital. Once your referral has been accepted, appointments can be attended at Grampians Health's Ballarat campus. You will only need to travel to the Royal Women's Hospital for procedures.
Referrals and access
- A referral from your GP or specialist is required. This must include the results of relevant tests and investigations - Reproductive Services referral form
- Please ensure test and investigations are undertaken and results are faxed with the referral to the Royal Women's Hospital at 03 8345 3036.
- Your referral will be assessed by the Royal Women's Hospital, which leads this service.
- You will be contacted as soon as possible to inform you whether your referral has been accepted.
