Pregnancy, infants & children (0-14 years)
At Grampians Health we recognise diversity in parenting and provide inclusive services.
Perinatal Community Team
Pregnancy and Infants 0-12 months of age
The Perinatal Community Mental Health Team provides support to strengthen the attachment and relationship between a parent and infant within your home environment.
They can work with you through pregnancy and up until the infant is 12 months of age.
Parent and Infant Unit
Pregnancy and Infants 0-12 months of age
The Parent and Infant Unit (PIU) provides voluntary mental health care within our purpose-built facility for parents and their infant.
The perinatal period is from pregnancy up until the infant is 12 months of age.
The PIU focuses on providing care, treatment and support to enhance a parent's emotional and mental health, whilst strengthening the secure parent-infant attachment.
The PIU works collaboratively with families, recognises the diversity in parenting roles and can provide treatment and support for all parents.
Infant and Child Services
0-14 years of age
We offer specialist mental health assessment and treatment for children, adolescents and their families.
With early action, we aim to help each child and family understand their mental health, and provide effective treatment.
We also support the families/carers to have a better understanding of their young person's journey.
